When he came back, he worked as a journalistic photographer for many years in several media, such as ABC color newspaper and TeVeo Magazine. In 2001 he obtained the third prize in the Patronage for Visual Arts Jacinto Rivero Contest, award that allowed him to publish Fin de Zona Urbana, book of urban pictures of Paraguay from the end and the beginning of the century. The next year, 2002, after years of work, he published Última Estación, book that documents the steam train in Paraguay during what later would be its last years of operation: from 1989 to 1991.
